As a small business owner, entrepreneur, and even as a woman there are many things that can induce anxiety, uncertainty and good ol' fear into our bones. Taking chances, diving into uncertainty, and just putting yourself out there can be a scary feeling - but pushing through can be so empowering. Driving ourselves to get through the things that make us uncomfortable or scared is where we find growth and where we find our true purpose. No matter how much we may tremble and shake at the thought of some of the things we have to face - big or small.

We love the story that Reese Witherspoon shares with LeanIn.org - it really inspires us because it shows that even some of the most seemingly confident women in the world battle uncertainty and fear at times. Reese explains that, "Doing begets more doing. It sounds simple, but I’m a firm believer that action can solve so many worries, and just powering through, no matter what, can give you the confidence you need when you feel like you’ve got nothing to offer. It’s in those moments that we must dig deep, ignore the noise, and lean in."

Reese with faced with a choice, one that made her incredibly uncomfortable, but she knew in her heart she had to do it. She says that she finally found the courage to take the leap because all she had to do was face her fears and accept the challenge: "I could continue to contemplate, ruminate and basically drive myself crazy with endless questions and visions of failure and embarrassment, but deep down, I knew I needed to face my fears and accept the challenge."

Are you ready to take the jump into your fears?
