Take Time to Relax This Labor Day Weekend

Life gets busy! We all have those things that consume us this time of year. This is the time of year where work ramps up, house maintenance, family obligations, sports, school routines and so much more. Whatever it is for you, I encourage you to take sometime this weekend to give back a small portion of time for yourself. I personally struggle with this. I feel a sense of selfishness to my family and friends if I take time for myself but this is the wrong way to look at it. When we slow down to take time for self care, dusting off our diffuser to add some pure lavender essential oil and breathe it in, read a good book, take 20 minutes for medication , prayer or yoga stretching we are in fact giving everyone around us a gift. A calm, more peaceful you! My favorite yoga pose is called the sleeping butterfly, now who out there would love to take 10 minutes to lay quietly in this pose. All the hands raise up! Maybe for you it is a calm bath with soft music or a walk or hike to enjoy the weather. Whatever your CALM looks like today, we encourage you to find it and allow yourself the quiet you so need in this busy, loud world we live in. When we stop for a few moments to observe the world around us, you may just see something you haven't seen before. That is what I found in our sweet lily that bloomed in our Sweet Streams Lavender waterfall this weekend. Beautiful reminder to take time to look around you. Hugs my sweet friends, Christina
