The Fall Fun Checklist: Fun, Creative Fall Activities Your Family Will Love!

Fall is the perfect time of year to get the family outdoors and explore, carve pumpkins, and visit the pumpkin patch. There are so many fun things to do outside as the weather begins to cool down that it can make you dizzy! I’ve decided to create the “Fall Fun Checklist” of some fun and creative things you can do with your family this fall! I was inspired to create a checklist, after we set up an outdoor theater for my son’s birthday. It was such a fun family bonding experience and a perfect way to bring the family together, in a new and creative way! Set up an Outdoor Theater. Borrow a projector, hang up a sheet, and hook it up to your family laptop and you have a theater! Cozy up with blankets, your favorite Halloween movie, and some lavender hot chocolate! Star in an Outdoor Play. Don’t want to worry about all the technical set-up of the theater? No worries. Create and star in your own outdoor play! We will let you decide who gets to be the villain and who stars as the hero. Paint Pumpkins. Dust off those paint brushes and put your artistic skills to the test! Paint your pumpkins using acrylic paint, glitter, and any other creative baubles you can think of – the pumpkin is your oyster. Nature Walk. Visit a local outdoor park and experience all the sights and smells that fall has to offer. Hear the leaves crunch beneath the soles of your boots, smell the warm bonfires in the air, and see the trees turn into magnificent hues of red, yellow, and orange. Create Leaf Art. Gather leaves on your nature walk and bring them home to create beautiful works for fall art. Glue the leaves together to create magical creatures! Or paint faces on the leaves to create little monsters. Have older kids? Spray paint the leaves in metallic colors to use as home décor for the season or paint intricate designs on each leaf to use in a picture frame. Here is some inspiration. “Practice” Trick or Treat. Why limit trick or treating to one night a year when you can play trick or treat at home? Star as different characters answering the door. Are you kooky or crazy? Silly or scary? Have fun with it!   Make your own Costumes this year. My little guy is almost 7, so we decided this was the year to make his costume starring as our "KEVIN" little minion. Be sure to follow us on IG for these adorable pics.   The possibilities for family fun in the fall are endless! I hope this list gets your creative juices flowing and provides some ideas for you to spend quality time with your loved ones this fall! Hugs, Christina
